PRS guitars are genuinely amazing. A modern classic with stunning tone and a great feel the S2 Vela continues PRS's now legendary range of amazing guitars that each bring you something unique. This vintage style guitar, with its sweeping offset body, has amazing tone and a flawless finish.
Built from solid mahogany with a rosewood fretboard these are really quite beautiful. The simple, smooth and stylish finishes are perfectly complimented by great looking nickel hardware and a sweeping pickguard.
A newly designed plate-style bridge holds two brass saddles specifically designed for great sustain and perfect intonation so both rhythm and lead tones sound great no matter where you are on the fretboard. You can really dig in
Amazing Pickups
In the bridge this guitar sports a low PRS Designed Starla with a bright, brash punky tone that is great for lead and really cuts through a mix. While the neck has a Type D Singlecoil with plenty of bite. This combo of humbucker and single coil opens up a wide range of tonal choices. You can even split the humbucker into a single coil using the coil tap, push-pull, tone pot. The clean tones are bright and pleasing with a solid mid range and a very full tone at the bridge. There's a really nice bluesy sound to it too.
Dial in some drive tone though and you really get into a great tone that's ideal for American style rock and blues. Because these aren't high output pickups the sound is balanced and stays clean and articulated no matter how much you pump the gain. Just check out the video PRS have made for some examples of theses sounds. You just have to hear them.
The S2 Vela is a vintage-inspired guitar with loads of personality and tonal textures, continuing in the style of the Mira and Starla models. The Vela boasts a new offset body shape that is at once elegant and edgy. Its pickguard loaded electronics feature a PRS-Designed Starla pickup in the bridge, providing a bright, punky tone, and the new PRS-Designed Type-D Singlecoil in the neck that gives the Vela some noteworthy bite. The coil-tap on the tone control allows the bridge pickup to split to singlecoils, providing a balanced tone that will cut through the mix with style. Anchoring this guitar is a new PRS plate-style bridge with two saddles that were designed to compensate for intonation. This bridge harkens back to Paul’s early designs and traditional bass plate-style bridges, but is top-loading for easy restringing. Like the bridge found on Paul’s Guitar and some Private Stock models, PRS’s new plate-style bridge features brass saddles and an aluminum plate for maximum tonal sustain.

I am aware of the Antique White option. The lighting in your photograph makes the guitar appear a pale gold metallic colour. The white Squier headstock in the background reinforces this illusion.
hope this helps.
