Thanks so much. The album will take a while, but that's the plan. The challenge is to create a consistent collection of tracks both in terms of style and quality.

I'll definitely be going back to the guy that mixed this - what he's done with the drums and bottom end is really different to how I imagined it. But I think it adds a lot to the track.
For sure - the sign of a guy who knows what he's doing.  And if you ever want to jam, let me know!

This is a song I have mixed feelings about. Loads of effort went in to it, not sure the result merited it. The mix could do with quite a bit of work - might revisit it at some point.

Just listened to Elfa Dogg, sounds like Mogwai, Explosions in the sky etc and theres nothing wrong with that.

Going to check out the rest now!

I really liked that one. The only thing I'd change is maybe a bit of reverb on the guitar melodies in the first half, and maybe in the coda as the song winds up when, a repeat of those phrases from the first half, but a very gentle naked one .

Very impressive! Are you Perth based? I spent my teens there and played my very first gig at The Grill in Perth. :)

Cheers! I live in Perth, from Glasgow. My son goes to The Grill on occasion. 'nuff said

Friday evenings is always about beer and loud music. Them's the rules round these parts... I could post this elsewhere as a demo video for a Helix FX, Avalanche Run or Mojo pickups, but really none of that matters... It's beer and loud music.

PS: This is not Scrambler. This is how I play in my other band (which is centered on beer and loud music).

This is an old tune. Wish I could remember how I made these sounds. Possibly a lot of Rat involved.

Loved both of these dude, particularly the last minute of Gasket - that lo-fi feedback was lovely. If ever you find yourself in South East Wales, we should jam.

    @joetele

    Current board

But my board when these tunes were done wouldn't have had an HX FX. Probably something more like this

    https://photos.app.goo.gl/rtksfywc7ZQrXr2s9

Basically a bunch of dirt pedals (Muff, Ratt, OCD in there) plus basic reverb and delay. Back then it was the Avalanche Run and Obscura, before that I had a Cathedral and Stereo Memory Man with Hazarai. That's about it - I've never had anything too outlandish.

I quite like the current board - that Plumes is stunning. Got one last month and on the VERY limited time I've had to play with it, it's wonderful. Favourite overdrive very quickly.

A lot of time for the Carcosa too, would happily buy one if I saw it come up for arounf £50.

And I've always wanted an Avalanche Run....
