Most folk on the internet describe playin' a guitar down stroke as counter clock wise stroke, turn door knob (hand/wrist) to the left

( Try it!)

Whatsamatter with me? My down stroke is turnin' the door knob clock wise to the right, back of hand rotating towards the floor and vice versa for the up strokes

What say you?

I don't think up and down strokes are anything related to the rotary motion of a door knob. 

I guess if you think of a flat door handle, then you're pushing it down, but that could be clockwise or anticlockwise depending on which side of the door you're on.

Down is down. Do they state an angle in degrees we are supposed to fret at? 

Not everything should be exactly the same for everybody surely?

Are you angling/edging your pick conventionally? Sorry if that's too obvious, but I'm trying to understand. A conventional angle is shown in this at 2.08

If you have the pick angled the other way (not easy) it might account for your style difference?
