    Phil was amazing. One of the best ever front men if you ask me. So sad that he died young but he left some fabulous music. A real rock and roll icon.

    Ahh, forgotten this. 

    I saw Thin Lizzy on my 15th birthday and was mesmerized by Phil . I saw him again with Grand Slam a few years later with Grand Slam and still was. In my memory the best front man I'd seen ( beating Freddie and Percy Plant). Great talent. And, of course, like all the best things from the West Midlands.
    Tipton is a small fishing village in the borough of Sandwell.

    Ahh, hadn't seen that. I haven't read her book but I've heard a couple of radio interviews and she was obviously quite active in promoting Phil's legacy and very proud of him. RIP.
