Following
@gringopig's thread, I thought I'd do my own, while learning myself how to use Helix Native in Garageband.
All tracks are recorded in Garageband on Mac, using Helix Native using an Apogee Jam interface set with the gain just low enough that the oldest guitar didn't clip. Helix setup is a Deluxe Reverb Amp & Cab sim with a little extra hair provided by the Klon model and a smidge of spring reverb just to soften everything. Nothing else done to the signal and no changes between guitars.
Guitars used were (in no particularly order):
A - Partscaster Strat. Rio Grande pickups. Positions 1, 3 and 5 only because otherwise it'd be too easy.
B - CIJ Paisley Tele. BK Boss pickups.
C - MJT Jazzmaster. Mojo pickups
D - custom WezV La Cabronia thinline. TV Jones Classic & Classic+
E - Gibson ES-330. Standard Gibson P90s
F - Gibson SG standard. 57 Classics with Alnico 3 magnets
G - Gibson CS-336. OX4 alnico4 pickups
H - Gibson LP Custom 57 RI. 57 Classic pickups (no maple top)
There's no clever wiring used or anything like that. 3 switch positions used per guitar for 2 sets of riffs/licks each. No use of them, as that would be too easy. And I've played the same thing for each one, much like @gringopig to try and remove any element of playing-more-like-SRV-on-Strat or whatever.
The tracks are the in next post.
I have to be honest, at one point I wasn't sure GB was exporting tracks properly, as a couple of them sounded so similar...
