I did have some prescription shades as a youngster. Then contact lens technology improved. I’ve got transitions now anyway and they often go dark. And I don’t care.

Can you get contacts that go dark?

I think the one place you can where sunglasses indoors in on stage, go for it it's part of the show!

Way back in the 90s, we had a soul band, someone bought 8 pairs of cheap/cool sunglasses for stage. We all came on wearing them, I think I got halfway through the third number before they came off. Couldn’t see sweet FA. Wore them again once (same band) backing a pro blooze bruvas act in Yate. Again great as an opener, but no use on stage. Did I mention they were cheap?
