Ebay scammer? bad dealer?

Yep have also had offers from kpmg-jd-pennington which looked a lot like a dealer so I didn’t interact.

Was it this fella? He writes in a very similar way and also has an Italian name. I got scammed by the above guy about a year ago which is why I joined the forum. Got my money back but he was, from start to finish, a complete prat.

EDIT: Seems like his account is no longer active. Probably changed username.

Yes, I had a feeling that was the same one. There's a few of that type of seller knocking around unfortunately. I never buy from eBay now unless I can get a good rapport going with the seller and they're prepared to let me see it in person first.

He doesn't even bother doing new photos for the stuff he's flipping, just uses the original sellers pics and descriptions it seems.

I'm pretty sure he never even had the guitar I bought - just bought it from another seller elsewhere and gave them my address. If he did have it, he certainly never looked at it.

I do not doubt it but if you google all of the names this person has used and add 'scam' to the google search it throws up an awful lot of data.
It must be working on some level- maybe a bit like Nigerian 419'ers, you only need a few successful marks to reward all the other wasted effort?
