Floyd rose trem block question

Hi

i have what looks like a silver plated genuine floyd rose trem block in my Jackson dinky could anyone give me an option of if it’s worth doing the brass block upgrade still

    Dismantling an FR type vibrato on the off-chance that its sustain block might not be brass creates a lot of work for no very good reason. 

    The expression Genuine Floyd Rose covers a multitude of sins, from systems costing more than some entire mid-priced guitars to the humble Special. The latter has a high proportion of cast zinc components.

    Opinions vary on the tonal properties of zinc. I have a JT-1 double locking vibrato bridge on an Eighties Charvel. Hideous low budget rubbish BUT, on that particular guitar, it sounds right.
