Bon Jovis Wanted Dead or Alive the descending intro, whats going on theory wise? It all pedals off the open d string, but whats the relationship of the descending run please, is it a chordal scale woth a comstant d in the bass?

I guess it could be used ascending too but in what circumstance?

Keep ot simple for me please...Im old!

    Intro sounds like D dorian (D E F G A B C - no F# or Bb)
    OR your playing descending sixths against a D drone
    The rest of the song sounds more like D major with solos in D minor pent
