Yeah, I figure worth a punt for that sort of money.

Not sure I actually need anymore drive pedals, but for this price I'll give it a whirl.

gah, I would of got one of those. Even at 180 on most other sites I have been intrigued.
But they do look a bit massive

The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

I used to have one. I moved it on as it wasn't working for me. I found it quite noisy with single coils, and of the 8 drive models, I only found about 3 of them were usable for me.

That said, it's possible to get some good sounds of it.

I had one for a short while and sold it for similar reasons.  Plus I couldn't afford the twin axle trailer needed to cart it around in.

I spent some time on YouTube trying to find a good demo (as I love a bargain) but I couldn’t find one... So strangely for me, I resisted..

There is a demo by Pete Thorn. I found it pretty hard to match those tones when I had one, although I got somewhat close.

Well, I think for under £90 I will find a use for it in my studio. Might just put synths through it!

I got mine used for £100- that price is nuts.

If you're going to use all its features it's an absolute bargain. It is big, but it isn't heavy. The real problem with it is the power requirements- 12vDC at something north of 400mA with a non standard centre positive connector. It's like Elektron were trying to make it awkward for guitarists to use.

That, and it would have been nice for a "do it all" dirt box to have a little more fuzz going on. What it does have is very close to my BYOC Superfuzz clone- the non mid-scooped side- so it's not all bad. Not at all.

Don't talk politics and don't throw stones. Your royal highnesses.

Mine arrived today, have been to busy to get it out the box and try it out.

Will report back once I have given it a proper go.
