Could I sign up please?  I’m a bit tentative, basically because I’m a bit shy, but I live about 20 minutes away from the studio, so it would be daft not to.
    i can bring along.......

Taylor 712ce (2011 model, well played in)
    Brook Torridge
    Martin Ukulele

    Orchid pre-amp
    Marshall AS50D
    Behringer wedge monitor

Would be ace to meet you :-)

Like you I'm not confident about this stuff in front of others so we can chat in a corner if need be haha

I was thinking of asking people to bring along various amplification options for folk to try so that's great, and I'd love to try your Brook if you're ok with that!

    That’s great @TimmyO.  Thanks.

I’ll have to bring a condenser mic for the Brook.  It is entirely pickup-less.

Plain acoustic is fine by me!

The day is acoustic - any plugging in will be purely for learning/gear interest

Am I allowed to play my acoustic through a distortion pedal? ;)

Sadly I can’t make this as July is a busy month for me, however after attending several “Southwest Bass Bashes” (other forums are available) all I can say to anyone sitting on the fence unsure of whether to go along & worried about ability or equipment they own is get yourself there & support the event. If you’re brave enough to run it again next year, March, April or May might be better & I wish you every success, Mike B.

    thanks for that sentiment Mike.

One of my ulterior motives for trying to do this one in a low-key, low-cost, local-to-me way is that I'd be happy to do it as frequently as there is appetite for. Let's see how this one goes
