TAYLOR 616 "BIG LEAF MAPLE" ACOUSTIC MADE IN THE USA IN 2006
This is from the "Big Leaf Maple" Limited Run featuring a sitka spruce top and incredible big leaf flamed maple back and sides .. just look at the photos! Guitar is in excellent condition - the GS body paired with the maple makes for a very dynamic guitar, responsive for both flatpicking and strumming
The husky low-end horsepower that makes the Grand Symphony a potent strummer pairs well with the fresh voicing refinements of the maple 600 Series. With maple’s tonal potential fully unlocked to reveal a richer, warmer and more complex voice, this Grand Symphony becomes even more dynamic. Among the sonic upgrades to the 600s are a maple-specific back bracing profile and torrefied Sitka spruce tops, which together produce a played-in tonal character with greater acoustic resonance and responsiveness. Other tone-enhancing touches include the use of protein glues and an ultra-thin, 3.5-mil gloss finish to minimize dampening. A new, hand-rubbed “Brown Sugar” stain on the back and sides gives maple’s figure a beautiful violin-hued appearance without adding extra thickness to the finish.
