Great stuff from Mark Lettieri

A goldmine of ideas in there... And of course super tight playing.

Lettieri is also very likeable, lot of passion coming through but in a really relaxed way.

Apologies if these progressions and voicings are old hat, but I thought I'd share!

Totally agree, he always comes across as a genuinely nice bloke and, having seen him live a couple of times, he's an absolute monster player.

When i was finishing my degree in guitar, he took time out to fill in a lengthy questionnaire for my dissertation just to help me out.

    Absolutely legendary nice guy.

    His playing is insanely good.

    Brilliant. Thanks for posting.
Fantastic the consistency he has landing the chords and across the strings

He's on That Pedal Show, today I think but they have filmed it.

He might be my favourite contemporary player. I posted this same vid elsewhere. I love the way he can mix great RnB/funk chops and harmony knowledge with fusiony or rock lead. Maybe the best time feel of any guitar player who can also rock out, too.

Will immediately check out TPS (although the drawn-out nature of their vids tends to put me off these days).

Some serious playing and tone here too (love that almost horn-like sound he gets at times):

  • TPS is usual fluff where they workship him to
embarrassment; he deals with it very well.

the end is the best bit though; Mark jams with TPS’s new ‘intern’...

    (it’s Joey Landreth ;)

    Damn, he's at it again

My mind is a little bit blown. Again super cool and relaxed too.

I found these 7 minutes waaaay more interesting than an hour of TPS. TC electronic are onto something with these.

Been listening to him recently and have been pretty blown away. His solo on 'Can't wait for perfect' with Bob Reynolds on youtube is just stunning in guitar mastery, taste and tone. I'm listening to his 'Spark and Echo' album and it's brilliant, so many genres blended and it's all a pleasure to listen to.
