I've been reading this random old thread on the Reaper forum for a few days now, so I thought I would share it here. I found it by accident while searching for something totally unconnected, but I think it was a good discovery if you are interested in recording  

 Why do your recordings sound like ass?

I might edit it if I have some time, but I'm reading it like a book at the moment. As you say, some worthwhile stuff to be found, especially if you are new to this sort of thing. I'm somewhere in the middle and still find it useful to see how other people do things, as I am mostly self-taught and I have picked up a few bad habits along the way.

wow that's a trip down memory lane, loved that thread.... in fact the Reaper forum always used to be brilliant like that
