WITHDRAWN Vintage USA Kalamazoo Epiphone Casino

Tentatively thinking of moving on my Kalamazoo made Epiphone Casino. All original, Pots and serial indicate its a '65 model and it has all the correct appointments for the year including the paddle headstock, nylon saddles and nickel hardware. In great nick for a 54 year old, no breaks or resets, loads of natural checking and playwear but consistant with its age. Scratchplate and original case is missing, but i have a repro guard and bracket in the case, which is an 80's Epiphone 'e' logo hardcase in used (almost matching condition!). The P90's sound loud, balanced and woody, very sweet when played clean but gritty as hell when the gain is cranked. Instant Beatles or Weller. Frets are in great condition and look original. Beautiful faded Sunburst a la Paul Wellers Casino. Loads of photos available. Would prefer collection from me in Rotherham due to the value and nature of a vintage guitar along with cash or bank transfer. Happy to consider a trade but this would need to be in the region of 50/50 ish cash/trade.

Looking for £3,500 collected from Rotherham South Yorkshire or part trade/cash to be agreed. Sorry no paypal. More photos on request, PM me for details.

    In all honesty I don't have the cash to buy it but I'd love to see the photos @SimpleSimon ;

    Why is there a difference between a sale price and a trade price?
    I don’t have a gambling problem, I’m winning, and winning is not a problem for me. That’s like saying that Iron Maiden have an awesomeness problem.

    Why? Because id prefer a sale. Its not unusual to have a trade value that differs from the sale price.

    If you bought the same guitar from a dealer youd be paying more like £4500....

    Why is there a difference between a sale price and a trade price?
    Obviously he’d rather offer a small discount for a simple and easy cash sale than the hassle of a trade and potentially selling something else on. Sweetens it for a cash buyer or sweetens it for him if you want to trade. Pretty typical way of doing it

    Every dealer also has a cash price and a trade price. It has ever been thus.

    Lovely guitar!

    Illiquidity of larger ticket items.

  • BUMP, long ago withdrawn, but an imminent move to a smaller house means i'm sadly having to move some guitars on due to lack of space.....

    ‘65 was the transition year so could be either. I understand most are 40mm in ‘65 though. Lovely guitar. Very Paul Weller!

    Apologies havent had chance to measure/reply, its the narrow nut width. Will confirm exactly what it measures...
