Cant wait to get home a plug it in, have been chewing over what type of delay to get for months and I managed to win this on eBay for £50 like new in the box with all 3 at the flick of a switch. Not really heard anything bad about the new Fender pedals and from the look and feel this is a great pedal, lets hope it sounds as good as it looks.

Should be good, I've tried it a couple of times and quite liked it, but it takes time to dial in and 'get' what the pedal does (differently) compared to others. It's not an in-your-face delay, it's quite subtle. The Marine Layer reverb, which can be had for pennies now, is genuinely stunning. Hidden gem.

Thanks @joetele I'll keep an eye out for the Marine Layer, literally just bought a Marshall RF-1 but you can never have too much reverb right!? ;)

No joke, at one point I had two Marine Layers together and it sounded stunning. But yeah, I'm usually running at least two reverbs anyway. My other reverb is currently the Walrus Audio Slo

They have come down in price a bit I think, about £95 new. The criticism seems to be that there isn't a huge amount of delay level, after reading this I watched the Reverb demo and the Level was cranked (IIRC). There's no problem with that for 'normal' usage, just might not be the best thing for wacky space ship noises. I think @joetele describing it as subtle is in that same ball park.
The dotted eighth feature is really good and that is a lot of delay for £50. I like the look of these and they have some nice features.

I've been strongly tempted by this entire range, I nearly bought the Santa Ana overdrive for the double pedal feature alone. Don't think I've seen a bad review on any of the range.

They're all quite different - they're not trying to offer every option or copy something else, they've got their own thing going on. The Phaser was quite nice and chewy too, and the Tre-Verb was fantastic.

    Rate is the modulation.

“Quite subtle” is an understatement @joetele but I think I’m getting my head round it!

When i got home and plugged it in my initial thought was that its broken! The controls seemed to take it from nothing to comedy effect but later on i played about with it through some headphones and managed to get a grip of it, there's still a few things i didn't quite understand but i'll swallow my pride and look at the instructions later!

This morning, post school run and pre work I had a quick go with it in front of a TC MojoMojo and dialled it in to a great sound on tape delay mode, kind of like a cave echo I guess, if any one's interested i took a photo (mostly because i know i'll never find it again if i move the pots!)

From my experience with about five or six of these new Fender pedals, they just require a little time and exploration to find out the "thing" they're trying to do - it's often something a bit different to the rest of the bunch. Keep plugging away at it!

  • I borrowed one for a few months from my drummer, was very impressed. Just make sure the kill dry switch isn't engaged when you turn up to a gig, as it really confuse you as to why it doesn't work ha!

Ha ha.. yeah, I did scratch my head over that one a bit! :)

i’m completely sold on it, and cracking value when you consider its 3, maybe even 4 or 5 pedals in one.
