Pickguard for a relic strat

Just thinking - I wonder if it’s easier  to get away with the tortoise shell pickguard on a relic Strat because it will not require as much careful relic-ing as a white / parchment one would..?

I love a Tortoiseshell guard.. it really picks out the parchment or white pickup and other plastics...I realise they are marmite though
