This is in excellent condition with hard case, lead, etc. Looking for £750 (they are £1300 new).

Trade-wise I am primarily interested in decent Spruce electro acoustics with cutaway, although you may tempt me into anything really... I am selling because I got my old strat refretted and I don't play this one any more. So no strats please!

Based in North Wales. Willing to ship at cost....

Is the price fixed or would you entertain offers?

    Where in North Wales exactly?
I'd be interested but I'd want to play it first- happy to come to you provided it isn't too impractical to get to you.

  • Haha, well I wasn't prepared to wait 5 months to make the sale, @thomassross20! Keep an eye on eBay for a proper auction, they are not particularly sought after secondhand it seems.

  • I'm gutted lol.. Only just saw this.
I'm loathe to pay full price. How'd you find the running stability and the volume increase when you switched to humbucker? And why'd you sell?
0reaction image LOL 0reaction image Wow! 0reaction image Wisdom
  • I see one no ebay for £850 and one for £1k (2010 model). I think £1k might be on the high end but who knows how long I might be waiting?

  • Humbucker was by no means overpowering compared to the single coils. The atomic/DH1 pickups get some bad reviews but it seemed fine to my cloth ears.

The S1 switch provides a wealth of sounds that I had no use for, although one of the settings did a reasonable Brian May impression with gain. The SCN pickups just sounded like high output single coils, not particularly sparkly.

Trem stability was disappointing for roller nut and 2-point trem, but I never bothered trying to lube the saddles or what have you.

I mainly got rid of mine because I wanted to buy an acoustic guitar. Currently acoustics make me money and electrics do not!

@thomassross20  - I'm going to be putting my Tungsten HSS Deluxe on here soon!

  • Hmm, so you had problems with tuning stability?
    Pwalo, just saw your ad!
0reaction image LOL 0reaction image Wow! 0reaction image Wisdom
  • It wasn't horrendous by any means, I am probably comparing it vs locking trems and being overly harsh!

  • No probs! Did you prefer the rosewood fingerboard over maple then?
Sorry for all the questions :)
0reaction image LOL 0reaction image Wow! 0reaction image Wisdom
  • No worries! I have owned only one maple fretboard (tele) in 29 years of playing! I prefer rosewood for feel and look, have never even considered a maple board strat.

PS the blower switch unleashes the hordes of hell, bearing ice picks, and broken glass. And glass ice picks.
