That's gotta be the best 249 quid that I've spent in a long time. Into the Lazy cab with an Alnico Blue it sounds terrific.
Wish I'd bought 2 at that price. ;-)

I'm running mine into a 1960AX 4x12 with a KoT up front.  The pedal cost more than the amp!   =)

I find these pretty appealing but I have two combo amps just now and keep wondering about swapping over to a head and cab setup.

I have no idea about cabs and speakers though... other than I think Greenbacks are the speakers that seem to be the ones I would prefer. What cabs suit these Origin amps? A bit of online window shopping seems to show that the Origin cabs and both the Studio Vintage and Studio Classic cabs all use Celestion V type speakers. I instinctively assumed they would all use different types... Just curious. If this looks to derail things too much or you guys would prefer this is elsewhere, I can take my questions to a new thread. But hopefully it's relevant.

    Cheers.

    Andy

V-type is the default cheap option for Marshalls.  Anything that suits a plexi will match OK e.g. Greenbacks, V30s, G12H30, Creambacks etc.  Lots of options out there.

I'm certainly not guaranteeing they'll do it for everyone but I asked someone at GuitarGuitar very nicely earlier and they dropped it to yesterday's price for me (I did already have it in my basket from yesterday though so that might have been the reason).

I'm just pissed off that I had to get up early to get my 20w head for £249 back in May, and you lazy fuckers get it on a plate.  =)

  • FWIW I saw a covers band this evening and the guitarist was running a 335-type (not sure of brand) into what I assume was a Origin 50c (looked too big to be the 10" 20c). Sounded gloriously chimey and sang the night away. Very tempted but just a bit peeved they've put the price back up.
Just so people are aware. I have no idea what any of these words mean.

Why on earth are they so cheap?!
if TVs and hifis were made in the USA, how much more would they cost?
    China makes things very cheaply

Vietnam actually, which makes it even cheaper.

And even cheaper as they are trying to off load them...
