Anyone use a band app to help organise the chaos that is a band?

Band Mule .... seems to pretty much cover availability, set list and online band chat

We used to use a free forum provider, that worked pretty well.

We use bandhelper - there is a small monthly fee ($4 or something like that) but was one of the few apps that worked on both apple and android tablets

Looks interesting. We've been achieving the same with a combination of Teamup Calendar, WhatsApp group chat and Google docs.

Of course the main failing of any tech solution is that it only takes one Luddite to abstain from using it and you're back to cat herding.
