What would be a good partner to a plexi?

The amp i’ve got at the moment is a plexi style amp.

Rather than another Marshall style amp, I’m looking for something a bit different and more high gain to cover some other ground.

I was thinking about a Rectoverb 25.  Any thoughts or alternative suggestions?

Ideally looking for a mini (or at least smallish) head. Budget £750 to £1,000.

Jet City JCA20HV, JCA20H or JCA22H... probably the 22 if you want higher gain, but you could buy all three and still be within your budget.

The v 25 would be cool. Never had a Mark series amp before.

Jet City is interesting. Not many about secondhand but still a bargain new. Is the Dan Gower modded one on eBay worth the extra?
