This is their best live video IMO. Watch it while you can, as it usually gets taken down!

Agreed, I had the VHS back in the day. I love the version of 'A Night Like This' from it.

Watching it back I had forgotten how boisterous the French crowd was, a lot of moshing

Great power and control by Boris on the drums, and Porl is very versatile on guitar, synth and Bass VI. Just missing Roger on the keys, but Lol was fine with the simple synth lines from this era. In fact, I really like single-note keyboard parts in guitar based music. Songs such as Charlotte Sometimes have really interesting sound palettes.

I've been binge watching this actually. I have "Show" on CD but this is a far better live show for me and the sound is miles better.

    Sweet talking guy!!

Loved this back in the day, I think it's on primary where you see the poor guy getting trounced on in the crowd. This had it all, the throwing of the wig, a great close to me. Splendid stuff from what I still consider to be THE Cure line up

Coincidentally I am just watching the Cure from Glastonbury. They are a band I never really got into but I am enjoying this and can appreciate their songs and the vocals a lot. A couple of observations... Surely it can’t be easy to play bass with it down by your knees? Or even good for your back?  Robert Smith is a really good vocalist. Something I never really knew before. I think I spent most of the 80s complaining that music wasn’t like it was in the 70s. Recommend me some albums to start with please ...
This is the truth from hillbilly guitars!

Disintegration, Seventeen Seconds, Faith and Pornography are my favourites but some may find them a bit depressing. If you want more upbeat stuff grab a best of or singles compilation.

The Head on the Door & Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me are two of their more accessible albums.

The Cure Trilogy concert in Berlin is worth a watch.
