The white rectangular and round buttons, not the metal switches.
They are fine on the rack and toaster but you don't use those with your feet.

If they are the same switches as the rack and toaster then I reckon that might be a potential issue down the line, after a number of gigs, people walking across the stage, getting knocked.
By way of comparison, what I like about the FX8 is it is build like a tank.

As I said, withholding judgement until I see it but it is certainly something I'd want to look at.

Well, I've mentioned this before on The Kemper Thread and I'm not a Kemper owner but a couple of friends who have them say the build is flimsy and that the controls are attached to the board. If you knock one, it can cause serious damage. However, the cable to the foot controller is also apparently 'vulnerable. If you damage the cable, it can short the whole Kemper.

I hope this new one addresses some of these things as it needs to be robust, like a Helix.

It is partly why I went for a rack when I sold my unpowered toaster (also to get the inbuilt power amp).
A rack I can lug around easily and it stays protected.

If people are putting the floorboard on a Pedaltrain in a soft case and then slinging them into a car I can see it getting bashed about a lot.
    We'll see, I guess.

I'm a massive Helix Floor fan, but given that Kemper sounds ace (as do HX and Axe) and has profiling i think unless Line6 are able to add profiling then they may have a lost a slice of future sales - **IF** Kemper have got the UI right
    Red ones are better.

I've had the details on this for ages, as I was sent the info by Kemper for Gear News site.

And all I could do was report any leaks I could find up till the official release today. It is a real pain digging up obscure Instagram posts and forum threads, without saying any thing 'official' I all I can say!

Looks really good, luckily I don't need one as have a Helix and some great amps/effects as well. However, would like to try one out at some point.

Looks cool but Im dubious about sitting that kind of £££ on the floor without better protection.

The used Toasters will drop in value I guess and will still become a viable option for newbie Kemperites.

So is this a power amp too? Blurb suggests you can use with “standard cabs”.

Fwiw not sure the ability to profile is a benefit for me as I was under the impressions you need a studio type environment with ability to play at high volume etc. Better tones would win it. though.

Price seems reasonable- certainly major competition for Line 6.

If it has a built in power amp so you can just plug straight into a normal cab then I’m VERY interested!

Hmm, really? It looks like a Kia dashboard to me... buttons everywhere. The footswitches also look very close together and the rest of the buttons look like they could easily be knocked by a misplaced foot.

FWIW though, I still want one and would probably have gone for one if they’d been available when I bought my toaster way back in the early days.

My first though was wow that looks awesome and I'm tempted.  But now I'm just thinking,

    Where's the expression pedal?

The Kemper Remote doesn’t have an expression pedal either... you’ve always had to supply your own.

I prefer the toaster on a table or desktop. I don't want to be messing about on my hands and knees.
If we are not ashamed to think it, we should not be ashamed to say it.
