Sorry, had to post this as currently in a gorgeous villa in the north east of Mallorca having a fabulous holiday with the family. 

Went kayaking this morning so isolated beaches and swam through caves, absolutely amazing! Snorkeling is great. 

Where are you all if not sweltering at home?

We’re in beautiful Kefalonia and I’m currently enjoying the view in the second picture with a nice cold bottle of Robola, the local wine.

I’m at Stockport swimming baths, waiting for the kids.  It’s officially the hottest place on earth.  I’ve just been on the running machine for 20 mins and about to melt.  The car was 38 degrees when I got in it and it felt positively cool compared to this place.

Off to Andalusia in 2 weeks.  Today it was 29 degrees, so will he nice to go somewhere cooler - it was supposed to be 43 in stockport today!

Looks lovely. Still feel happy and content when I think back to the days I spent in the Hebrides at the beginning of June. At the same time both exhilarating and peaceful

The other side of Arta, near Colonia St Pere, love it here. Went to Cala Morlanda yesterday, incredible snorkeling and clear waters.

Hired a car. Skoda Octavia Estate Petrol, although had requested a Fabia Estate, so a result there.
I think we did about 2500km all in. 11 day hire.
I've did public transport previously on my own or with my wife. We've 2 kids now so the car allows us to have a rural base camp and visit attractions within a couple of hours driving.

I am leaving for Rome on wednesday, then Pescara after the weekend. Hot over there - approaching 40C apparently...

We we are in hotels until we leave Singapore for Geneva, so sort of feels like a holiday.
Last night was at Marina Bay Sands.
Relocation budget stretch to 6 nights there so staying at Robertson Quay until we leave.

Might not win the thread but a couple of notable places on my French travels, Rocamadour which is a well known pilgrimage site and Dune de Pilat both of which not done justice by my camera phone. It’s basically a big pile of sand ( the tallest dune in Europe) but I thought it had a certain wow factor.
