Looks like I need to raise some funds to keep me afloat for a few months, so I thought I'd see if there's any interest in one or other of these.

Bass #1 is the first one I built - Swamp ash body, maple neck and ebony board, Gotoh tuners, Seymour Duncan J and P bass pickups and a John East preamp.

Bass #2 is the second - Swamp ash body, maple neck and flamed sycamore board, Gotoh tuners, MM Bongo humbucker and John East preamp.

Both weigh around 7lbs (I'll check tomorrow) and are currently setup with Rotosound Stainless 30-90s.

Offers considered in the area of £750 each.

    Oh man!

If I had the money I'd have the natural one in a heartbeat.

Wow, that pickup configuration of the black one is very interesting.

Is it active and/or passive ?

What's the width of the fretboard at the nut ?

Does it have sidedots on the fretboard ?

Is there a reason why you put on so thin strings ? Can it handle much thicker strings like 55-115 for example ?

Are there any sound samples available ?

It is active (John East U-Retro preamp) and you can switch to passive but lose all the tone controls.

    It has vol/blend (between P and J) blend (J neck/bridge) treble/bass (boost/cut) and mids boost and cut w/frequency sweep.

    Width at nut - 40mm

    It does have side dots.

I put thin strings on because I like thin strings, with what you get from the preamp I've never had a problem with it sounding thin ;)  I've never tried heavier strings on it in std. tuning, though it did have 50-110 on tuned to BEAD.

I don't have any sound samples at present.
