Got an all Rosewood Strat project on the go and am turning thoughts toward finish.....would prefer to leave it unfinished, but the thread elsewhere about a soilid Rosewood body cracking/coming unglued has me worried!....
Preferably an oil finish...
Tru Oil?
Tung Oil?

or Shellac?

Any experience, opinions ideas?

Cheers!

Body is not ready/here yet, but I will share the assembly of the joker....

Truoil and their wax will look great I reckon. Far nicer than raw

  • I just got a rosewood neck from Graham and am planning to do a few coats of Tru oil, also what he recommends. He shared this pic which was 3 coats -
