I want to push my new venture and so have had to sucumbe to the dreaded facebook, ....

Now then...Firstly my partner has an account...and I though I could create a 2nd page and it would act independently of her page....not so.

I stated getting all her posts etc...all her friends were only page etc etc...so...onto step 2.

I start my own page with new email account and so on....then ( I think wrongly) I created a 2nd page again...for my website promotion etc.....but ..everytime I "like" someone it appears on my personal page and not the 2nd business page !...Aeghhhhh !

Im at a loss with Facebook...Ive watched Tutorials how to change page names...but the menu doesn't even show up where Im  looking.

This seems to be on a par with iTunes....please help ;-)

If you have a personal page and also manage a band or business page you need to select who you are when you like a page by clicking the black triange next to your picture ( just to right of share )

Just select your business page -  have a personal page and 2 band pages. If you do as I said before when posting , following etc you can keep them completely separate

Mmm...I dont get it....I have an option to "like from this page"....so I can like a post from the Buisness. page...but say I search for a a user...like Justin guitar for example, if I follow them....I only get their posts on my personal page and not on the business page...I dont have an option to follow from the business page if that makes sense?

It depends on how you're accessing Facebook.

On mobile, not all options are available. I know on pages I manage when accessing via the Android Facebook app, it will default to posting/liking as my own personal account, unless I'm responding to something relating to the Page, where it will default to the Page account, with no way to change who you're posting as. It used to be an obvious option, then it got buried in settings, then it got removed completely.

On the computer/web page, the option is to select what account to use, is to the right of the like/comment/share buttons at the bottom of posts, or if viewing a page, click the "..." next to the page Like/Follow/Share buttons, and select "Like as your page"

On a mobile device, it's easier to just install the Page Manager app.

I mostly do Facebook via the app on my iPad and when I had a band page ( well, the page still exists but not the band) it used to give me all these issues. Had to log on via a webpage version of Facebook to choose to like or comment as the band ( as described above). As I remember it if someone PMd the band it wouldn't show in messenger, I had to log on via a webpage for that as well. Although I could make new posts on the band page without problems.

I use Pages Manager for my band account, it's a lot simpler and you always know who you're posting as.
