So, my son has got into uni and I have an idea to get him a guitar as a congrats present. Not easy as he’s into allsorts. A 2001 would be good. Ideal would be a 72 custom Tele or some kind of SG, a special would be good as he’s talked going all DIY finish a la Clapton’s fool.

    I may be thinking of my '61 reissue (2001 model) with Maestro. It's not a Special though (Clapton used a 64 Standard if I'm not mistaken ...)
    It's in excellent condition and has been set-up and serviced recently.
