... your amp goes down at a gig. You have a pre amp pedal luckily but need a cab sim. However you do still have the separate cab that the broken amp used. Is there anything out there there that would do the job of connecting the pre amp pedal to the cab? I could go through the PA but that'll be a lot of faff and I'm not that keen on doing that if I didn't have to.

Any ideas?

Not a specific recommendation for that one, it's just the cheapest on Ebay today.

They usually don't sell for a lot more than that because no-one wants them for PA these days - especially really old ones like this, with no XLR mic inputs - but are reliable, have a good clean sound and will drive any cabinet. (Being too powerful for a low-rated cabinet may be a possible problem though, if you're playing loud.)

Wow and that little thing would get me through a gig if I used my Joyo American sound or the new Origin Effects Revival Drive Compact/Full in front of it?

Just use a speaker lead rather than an instrument lead to hook up to a speaker.

I might be selling my Bad cat Black Cat amp in that case as I don't really ned two amps anymore and also not an amp that good as a back up etc

I bought a Quilter Microblock for this exact purpose, to drive a cab in the event of amp breakdown. i don't think i'd need another preamp though, it sounds good enough on its own.

Yeah they are quite good too for the headphone output. I guess that's good for playing through your rig but at home quite usage @bbill335 ?

WIS'd  I have a Crate PowerBlock for that purpose but (thankfully) never had to use it.

Yes I would have thought so. I've never tried one myself, I just know these compact pedal power amps exist. For a backup I imagine it will be good enough to get you through the gig, provided it's loud enough.

Yes I would have thought so. I've never tried one myself, I just know these compact pedal power amps exist. For a backup I imagine it will be good enough to get you through the gig, provided it's loud enough.

I have a TUAC 50W sstate head here free if anyone wants to pick it up. Has the Bulgin mains conn' and although it worked fine a few years ago a PAT test would be a good idea.

Seymour Duncan Power Stage 170. I think in one of the Revival Drive videos it was actually used. Not cheap but surely does the job.

It's fine at home levels? the headphone out can go to a mixing desk or hifi so you don't even need a speaker load
