Any reason why these modern overdrives ( 70s on) should not work for 40/50 years?

It was a gooped Zendrive got me thinking.......how long could i expect this bugger to work?

I would assume some component values might drift as they get older, but generally most stuff from the 60's is still going ok (assuming its been looked after), so I wouldn't worry too much.

I'm more concerned about modern digital stuff - they'll be much harder to repair if anything goes "ping"

Main issue will be electrolytic caps which have a finite life span.

I have seen these fail in 70's and 80's pedals.

Other than that, they should be fine for a few years yet!
