This live version of Doyle Bramhall's song 'Cry' is just extraordinary. It's a great song but when Alice Smith kicks in.. Holy cow.. it just takes it to another level. She has this swagger and presence that is riveting and vocally there are shades of The Great Gig In The Sky towards the end of the song.
I reckon this is a legendary performance captured on film here. Man! I had goosebumps from head to toe and a lump in my throat when that first chorus kicked in.
(pronounced: equal-sequel) "I suffered for my art.. now it's your turn"
