Is The Hudson Broadcast 24v a 'sizzler'?

A question for owners of this beast:

Is the low-gain on the Hudson Broadcast 24v pedal transparent? i.e. Can it add just a sizzle to a clean tone without robbing bass mids or treble? I've heard demos with it cranked and gnarly but am interested in it's more subtle processing.

Yes it can. I prefer it to the std version

I have the Peach Rosso Corsa version - not sure if that’s 24/18v but it definitely does really light gain very well. That’s how I use it tbh, hardly adding any drive just a bit of colour.
    How very rock and roll

Sounds good, I'm really looking for the minimum amount of tonal change, just the added sizzle.

I use two Hudson Sidecars for just a bit o drive and crunch, then a clean boost for volume jump, on either, great IMHO.......

I had a 24v version and found that the pedal removed a lot of the low end/thump, even with the knob turned up to full (counter clockwise)

The broadcast can do low gain stuff very well but if it’s complete “transparency”
youre after I’d say the Sidecar was probably a safer option.

The broadcast does add something to your sound, which sounds great to me

That's weird. Was the gain really low? There's a lot of low end added when you wind the gain up.

I definitely noticed it more with the low gain side. Can't remember now how much it affected the high gain side. This was ultimately why I parted with the pedal

I wouldn’t describe a broadcast as a transparent pedal, it definitely colours the sound, albeit in a nice way.  There’s other pedals out there which will suit your transparent needs
