Thanks to one of those "made for you" playlists on Spotify I've just discovered The Bevis Frond. I can't believe I've missed them all these years. It's like a mash up of the 60s jangle/ paisley underground stuff that I loved so much in my formative years. Just great! Any fans here?

I loved the Bevis Frond back in the day, and also Bari Watts' band Outskirts Of Infinity.

I remember Nick Salomon (Mr Bevis Frond) appearing on Countdown and doing quite well.

I've not heard a great deal, but He'd Be A Diamond is a cracking tune.
My wife asked me to stop singing Wonderwall.
    I said maybe.....

You might also like Aussie band 'The Stems'.
They sound straight out of 1960's San Fran, but in reality were an 80's band from Perth.

"I've Got Eyes In The Back Of My Head" - great song but I prefer the Outskirts' version.

Wow!!! I didn’t think anyone else had ever heard of them. I had a copy of Triptych back in the day. Managed to listen to it again online very recently and it still sounds awesome all these years later.

TBF have been a very prolific band, but haven’t fully plundered the depths of their catalogue yet. This thread will focus my mind to do so.

  • I've listened to Triptych three times today during a long car journey and I love it. Looking forward to discovering more!
