Pickup winding help

I've been meaning to have a go at this for a while and after testing and owning what seems like most of the boutique pickups out there i thought id have a go myself at winding some. 

Any one have any advice as to a good pickup winder for beginners, best place for the parts and some advise on where to start?

I'm in a similar position, speak to @Alegree for parts/kits. 

Stewmac also has some good guides to get started.. 

I've build a little winding jig out of a drill w/counter, just need a few more bits and i'll ready to rock wind.

that's something I've fancied doing but haven't because i do everything else, if i get more time I'll definitely have a go
