In case we’d missed the western/gunslinger vibe there’s a ‘tame the bucking bronco’ scene - sheesh.

    Red ones are better.

    Very very.

Mandalorian jumping into a scrap en masse?

Been wanting to see that for years.

  • Liked that a lot, but was left wondering why, given the Mandalorian code...

Yeah, I know baby Yoda saved his life from the slimy big thing last week but that wouldn't have been a thing for Boba or Jango. Gets your money and go baby! The Disney effect? I don't mind though, liking the SW shizz :)

  • @littlegreenman I think it’s

just implied that he’s got a soft-spot for kids/orphans based on his own past. It’s also a pretty common trope for bounty hunters to have a “no kids” rule.
I must admit I thought this was going to go quite differently, with us seeing him up against the other Mando’s for breaking the code!

As did I, but it is Disney. Still good though :)

@mrkb I’d highly recommend a visit to the Opera

A night at the Opera for sure, but do it in private.

  • The show is good. Reminds me somewhat of the old Marvel comics Star Wars. Makes me wonder if anything from the show will end up in Rise of Skywalker.

I took it, and the closing big battle, as being a next stage in their now-tiny-culture. Purged, scattered, who do they now want to be?

Possible, given that they still haven't finished Rise of Skywalker, but improbable because The Mandalorian appears to be quite good and the new films are designed specifically to be a shit-show.

The Mandalorian feels like it has been made with the older fans in mind, what with the fight scenes, the slow pacing/dialogue, and the Easter eggs dotted throughout.
The films are still aimed at kids.

Completely agree. I'm hoping that TM will be the first step in Disney really realising that they need to have a MCU-style plan for the whole series if they want to have anywhere near that level of success. You can't just have a scattergun approach to the whole thing hiring & firing directors left right and centre.  I'm sure Favreau (among others!) will have explained this to them.

Episode 3 is superb! I retract my statement about him not kicking arse.

It’s becoming John Wick in space!
