Is the Stage Mod worth it? I have the version without; wondering if its worth the hassle to obtain the one with it...

I guess it depends if you are happy sticking with one mode. If you like to flip between Clean boost, Classic or Higher Gain then it probably is worth it.

Ahh I mean specifically the top left switch; this is the 'Stage Mod' switch. I have the 3 switch version!

I also have a version without the switches and tend to have it in 'Classic' mode all the time. The top left switch swaps between bright and smooth which affects the presence and dynamics.

I've got one of these, and for a small-footprint multi-head tape-style echo/delay, they're absolutely brilliant value, and sound great.
