NAD ... Supro Black Magick combo. Holy moley! This thing is beautiful!

Ok, technically it's not NAD yet, as I'm waiting for them to sort me out a proper cover etc for it, and will be picking it up in a few weeks.

Since I posted about looking for a special amp, I've been out and played a great many. 

I spent a good hour with this, with my strat and a borrowed (from the shop) LP that's about as close to my LP as it could be. It blew me away!

25 watts of beautiful class A valve amp, with a very useable tremolo and enough beef in the 2 channels to fulfil my every desire. 

The closest I came to anything like as good was a used Deluxe Reverb from the 90s, although being a Deluxe Reverb, it would have been unusable at home without visits from the council! 

The black magick works pretty damn well at home volume, but when you open up the taps it will knock you into next week. 

The cleans are absolutely beautiful, and I played around with many pedals in the front, which work fantastically too. 

The final factor that made me choose this over several other contenders, is that it's quite the looker! 

Now just got to sit and wait for delivery!

I love the amps, I think they’re great but I can’t be the only one who thought that video a bit tedious? I sat through it really expecting someone to give it the beans but, nothing!

I thought that! There are some really good videos of the Black Magick out there, although very few of them seem to spend long covering the awesome cleans and go straight to the gain stuff.

I have the head and cab. Love it! I Pair it with a Twin Reverb... but I think I prefer the clean of the Supro!

A mate has the head with added reverb and 1x12 cab. Lovely sounding thing.
