TV/PC/Gaming speakers?

I’m looking for a simple setup for running my PS4 and MBP through as the monitor they’re hooked up to doesn’t have built-in speakers - what are your recommendations? They don’t need to be pro-audio level, just not a pile of sh*t!

Also, I’d prefer to avoid a soundbar format, bookshelf (2.0/2.1) speakers would be great.

Yamaha HS7 monitors.

I liked them so much with my Helix I've got them for my PC as well.

Ha - crossed my mind already, I had a pair a couple of years back with my Helix!

I had a pair of Creative Gigaworks T40 speakers in my lab for years- they were brilliant. Great sound quality for music/radio/podcasts/tv.
6 years of 0800-1600 6 days a week & they never faltered, not even when one of the pair took an accidental dip in a bucket of water. We dried it off & the next day it worked perfectly again.

Depending on what you want, size of room, and what the budget is...

For cheap decent gaming and audio speakers, I really like Edifer R1280T speakers. Based a couple of audio setups for friends around these and they do the job. Won't overpower the room with the 4" subwoofers and you'll get change from £100. 

If you want Bluetooth, the R1280DB are twenty quid more.

if it's more monitors, the Kali LP6 sound really good, Adam T5V, all the usual suspects.
