This is the 54th solo of the Month (SotM) Challenge.

The challenge is now open ends at midnight 23rd November 2019.

Discussion: An attempt at a country pop backing track.

The backing track has some headroom to add your solos. Add your solo and (as a guideline) try to avoid boosting the overall level beyond that if possible. That way the entries should be at roughly the same level and we won't get into loudness wars.

Voting will start soon after the submission deadline, with each voter selecting their 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice.

First choice gets 5 points - Second choice gets 3 points - Third choice gets 1 point
The order and scores of the top three entries will be announced soon after the voting ends.

No prizes. It's just for fun.

Sent an entry in!

Recorded with my Yamaha SG700s + a custom Bias FX2 patch with a short slapback delay then compressed, EQ'd and things in Reaper in an attempt to make it sound kind of like a country Tele.

I shall have a crack at this one this week. My Tele’s in for a refret so I’ll have to see what I can do to get that country vibe going

Just to be different, I used a Tele on the Bridge into Deluxe Reverb Model in Guitar Rig, bit of Reverb and Delay.

Having a Levon Helm phase as it happens...this fits in nicely. 

Will try and get one in later this week.
I'll have to see if my riff fits...I think I can move the box down three frets and it should work  

Edit: I mean a 'listening to Levon Helm' phase not a 'pretending to be' Levon Helm phase.
(Not that there would be anything wrong with that, if that's your bag...)

No pressure. It's just for fun. So that probably means zero entries to RotM, the way things have been going recently.

Are there any requests for a style for next month's backing track? Nothing too obscure because it's good to encourage as many entries as possible.

I fancy something either epic Gilmourish or something slow and droney bluesy/Hendrixy.

I will do one for this month. Just need to find time.

Meh, just some sparse chords in a minor feel so we can wank all over it. You always pull something lovely out of the bag

Whatever the chords are for Shine On, or Breathe or Comfortably Numb or similar.Job's a goodun.
