It takes a lot to offend me, but I'm the same Hoots. Two in six years. Neither posters, as far as Im aware are, how shall I say it, 'with us any more'.

I’ve never felt the need to flag any post so must be incredibly tolerant or incredibly ignorant.   But, this thread raises an interesting question. If you do flag something do you need to provide a reason?

Yes, if you hit the flag link you get this message "You are about to flag this for moderator review. If you're sure you want to do this, please enter a brief reason below, then press 'Flag this!'."

I've never flagged a post. I can't imagine that I would. It would have to be particularly egregious behaviour for me to consider it. I think most of the likely candidates are banned before hitting this level.

Some obvious spam posts...a few dick posts (lol)...some rule breaches in the classifieds.

The flags are there to aid the mods as they can't read everything.

It's like a forum neighborhood watch scheme.

I've flagged 2 or 3 ties I guess, all years ago. The mods agreed with me. I'm pretty tolerant of stuff but that doesn't mean there isn't a line in the sand somewhere.
