PJ pickup set for Fender aerodyne

What's Hot
I can’t get a decent sound out of the stock pick ups on this thing, they seem to have an incredibly low output. What are the best replacements?
My main bass is a fender modern with the twin humbuckers so I’m used to a thick sound and as much as I love the feel of the aerodyne, it’s a long way off being gigged due to the sound.

  • Brilliant, thank you. Always read about the Dimarzio set but never had any recommendations so good to have a little input

The Fender Modern Jazz Bass and Telecaster Bass models might provide greater sonic variety with some coil permutation switching.

If nothing else, these modifications should make your existing bass a suitable spare for the Aerodyne (and vice versa).
You say, atom bomb. I say, tin of corned beef.
