It's the assumption that men have dicks and women have fannies that is deemed to be non-inclusive, so this is a sensible suggestion. Personally I would go for pricks and c*nts, two words I already associate with pro audio ;-p

Surely, with language, the issue is intent. Any word can be turned into an insult if the user intends it that way.

People can - and do - choose to take offence at just about anything. Life is not fair but many now seem to be in denial about this. Instead, they expect EVERYBODY ELSE IN THE WORLD to conform to their values. 

Not going to happen.

Time to toughen up, before the next war breaks out and reality tramples on the teacups and snowflakes.

Even though it retains gender identification, it emphasises a loving partnership based on mutual respect and equality even though they're not together as a couple.

They seem to have left "Jack" plug outside the scope of their complaint.

Presumably we should also be free to call them Jill plugs, or some other gender neutral name that we are all happy with. Jordan plugs?
