It's Not Hard to Embed Images

I've not had a problem embedding images on here... I used to use Onedrive, and it was a bit of a pain, involving generating some code, switching my post to html mode, pasting the code in, and then posting. If I tried to use the image icon to post it never worked, and I couldn't post pictures at all on thegearpage or jcfonline. Since I switched to using imgur, it all works fine - but it is a bit of a pain on my phone, and doesn't always work properly...

BUT, if you click on your pic AGAIN, so that the pic goes to the centre of your screen, then click on the share icon, and choose copy link, it creates a link like this, https://i.imgur.c0m/H76sxNQ.jpg, which is an embeddable pic link, so you get the picture in the post, like this:

This worked! As simple as selecting the image again and getting That link.

It's not HARD per se but you have to know the one specific way that works here, Vs being simpler on almost every other forum

That's fine if that one specific way works every time, but it doesn't for me on Android.

I'm well aware of the costs involved, but it does kill the spontaneity compared to using Facebook or Instagram tbh, so I rarely bother posting pics any more unless I'm selling something. 

One big difference here is that Facebook and Instagram want to own your images, and want you to upload copies to their sites for them. theFretBoard doesn’t want to own them, doesn’t want to pay for the storage, nor deal with takedown requests. Hence third party hosting.

I totally get that, and that's fine. It's more a criticism of crappy hosting sites than the Fretboard tbh.

It’s not hard to box up a guitar and book a courier but still people insist on listing collection only on eBay. Usually failing to sell or selling at a much lower price as a result. Even on other stuff they will put , owing to the weight this is collection only. I’ve sent 2 x 12 old solid state amps that weighed more than my friends big old valve amp and you will get people who won’t send a micro cube. Bloody soft tw*ts

Actually, yeah, that kinda bugs me too.

I've shipped and had shipped to me various heads and combos.

Just a bit of effort. I think I use parcelpro. They make life easy.
