    Aldi Red Fox is great  as is the Lidl blue brie called Blue D'Affinois , and one of those two do a lovely hard goats cheese called Manchego.  

    And don't forget to do slices of halloumi fried in olive oil until brown.

    GET SOME DRY SHERRY. Amotillado or Oloroso. 

    You can also use medium sweet oloroso for stilton.

    I'm lucky in our town as there are 2 small good independent deli stores - So great selection of cheeses - I will go and pick say 6 different cheeses and say 4oz each - Say 2 blue based, 2 soft cream and say 2 English  - Good fun to nibble and compare etc - Add a nice selection of biscuits

    Nothing posh or middle class about it IMO - nice easy entertainment
