I can see that I live on a different planet to most of you lot! I've only heard of about 5% of the bands mentioned here thus far.

Mostly prog in my list. I'm on a bit of a brain freeze so only two records spring to mind:

    Southern Empire - Civilisation
Big Big Train - English Electric Full Power

I'm only on about 10%, but what really impresses is how little repetition there is between each list

I think this is a good thing. I know I'm unlikely to like any modern metal or old-school prog stuff, but I'll be giving most of those mentioned at least a few minutes of my time over the next few weeks.

  • Hmm so I've thought about this, I don't really buy many albums and surprising how many of them I have bought have not been released in the last decade. Tend to just use Spotify and never really get into stuff deeply enough to need to own them. I also don't have very good taste so...

But let's have a go eh, in no particular order:

Jack White x3: Blunderbuss (2012), Lazaretto (2014), Boarding House Reach (2018)
    Laura Marling: Semper Femina (2017)
Christine & the Queens: Chaleur Humaine (2014)
Julian Casablancas + The Voidz: Tyranny (2014)
Wanda Jackson: The Party Ain't Over (2011)
St Vincent x2: St Vincent (2014), Masseduction (2017)
    Ellie Goulding: Halcyon Days (2013)

A bit of a mix, looking back :)

Please note my communication is not very good, so please be patient with me
