Zoom R8/16 amp sims

I'm considering getting one of these as an ideas machine.

I'm not expecting to make pro sounding demos.

Are the amp sims good enough or a pile of crap? I would need them to be good enough to Be inspiring to play through.

If they're like the ones in the G3, then the cleans are good, and even with a smidge of gain they're not bad. I'm not a high gain player, but when I have tried a heavier sound they don't work for me.
