Really shocked & saddened to hear the news that Neil Innes has died.
Loved his music & humour from the Bonzo's through the Rutles to his Python work.
He'll be much missed.

Just been trying to explain to MrsTheWeary who he is, she's clueless. Yet she will have heard a lot of his music even if just Brave Sir Robin. 
Popped up on a lot of kid's TV in later years so I saw him on various things my kids watched as well as his contributions to the Rutles, Python, Bonzo Dog,etc. 
RIP.

Sad news, was one to stick by his friends too, a seemingly rare thing in this day and age. Great talent and decent human being AFAICT.

The Ruttles is the start of those rockumentories and a real classic.

RIP.

@Munchkin you need to add the @ to notify someone. 

Odd timing, for me, having mentioned Neil on the forum this week already. He did a lot of stuff and with great talent and often great humour.

Oh jeez, no wonder it seemed to come from nowhere! Saturday Bloody Saturday.

Just last night my wife reminded me that Tara Palmer Tompkinson also left us, around the same time as it happens. RIP Tara.

The same applies to me, plus I've had an almost catastrophic laptop failure this morning. Lucky for me I had a spare, unluckily for me I currently hate the bloody thing.
