Waves rbass

So had rbass as part of waves platinum for years but never used it then stumbled across a tip to use it to add punch to kick drums. Tried it out in some live drums we recorded for our Xmas Song and it works really well.

How did I not know how awesome this simple trick is until knoe?

It's the first waves plugin I bought! Great to beef up basses and anything that needs the low end to be heard on systems without subs..

Definitely a good plugin, one of the first I'd get if I had to start again from scratch.

Something worth remembering is that it doesn't add low end, it adds higher frequencies that trick the brain in to hearing the lower ones.

So if a track has an important sub bass part it will allow that to be heard on smaller speakers but it won't add powerful subs when the track is played back on full range speakers or subwoofers the way a sub bass generator will.
