So the missus took our wee girl to the shops today, she spent 15 quid of her savings on a crappy toy drone, its utter pants. So Ive been looking at decent ones, got a camera to pay for first but a drone will be next.
Anyhow, drones, any thoughts?

I had one of the wee cheap toy ones and thought it was quite good fun. Just for messing around indoors. Takes a while to get good at it.

I'd probably get used to that before getting a better one for outside.

Dji Spark is awesome and small so you won't attract too much attention. 

Fly responsibly but don't worry about the new legislation too much.

I have a DJI Phantom 3 Pro, which is probably a bit out of date now. It's great. Really easy to fly, and the footage is rock steady. I love it.

The small DJI ones took really good as they are so portable, if I were buying a new one now, that's what i'd get. 

I was a bit worried when I got it that people would give me hassle when flying it, but everyone has been really cool. Only problem I've has have been people trying to chat when you need to concentrate on getting some decent footage. 

Registering is cheap (think it's £9 pa) and the test is free and dead easy. I don't use mine that often, but it's always fun when I do.
