  • What's the betting it isn't £36.99?

Danelectro have put out some cool stuff recently.

Good video by JHS this week about Dan Electro. Great playing on the video. Sounds like a lot of fun.
If I had talent, I'd be talented.
    Red meat and functional mushrooms.
    Persistent and inconsistent guitar player.
A lefty, hence a fog of permanent frustration

Not enough guitars, pedals, and cricket bats.
USA Deluxe Strat - Martyn Booth Special - Electromatic
    FX Plex - Cornell Romany

So it does! Well spotted. I read somewhere that the designer at Danelectro designed the Foxx Tone Machine but that could easily be bullshit

To be honest I read that on TGP.

Josh JHS's recent Danelectro video mentioned the Foxx Tone Machine thing- it sounded like it was the guy he was interviewing, who now runs Evets Corporation who own the Dano brand, who designed it.

And the backwards delay at that as well ( how many delays now feature a reverse delay that you'd even want a standalone pedal?); I'm guessing much lower by the time they reach the shops.

The Danelectro French Toast was also a clone of the Foxx Tone Machine.

Mr Danelectro said in his video with JHS Josh that the Back Talk delay is sought after as being more "musical" than everyone else's reverse delays.

MRDA and all that if you're watching the Christine Keeler thing on telly.

Ahh, I guess we will see ( although it sounds like twaddle).

Not that it's any indication of anything, but used prices suggest that people believe there's something there...

  • Isn't the Eisenhower Fuzz pretty much the same but without the octave switch?

The Eisenhower has a mid scoop, making it look a lot like a Super Fuzz clone to me. Price here is 119, I'll be pleased if the 3699 retails for that https://www.guitar.co.uk/danelectro-the-eisenhower-fuzz-pedal

Mind you the 3699 has an extra footswitch so that could inflate the price down the supply chain.  The mid boost switch is a new thing AFAIA. Wonder how long it'll be before it is traced and cloned by the DIYers

  • I was about to pull the trigger recently on the Eisenhower but held off while I searched around for other pedals. It does sound good, as does this new one, but I'd not be playing lead with it really, but dirty grungy chords!
